学習目標
 This course will focus on helping the student to continue to reinforce essential communication skills which will enable her to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently in English.
授業概要
 The class will stress Communication Skills through a variety of tasks: pair or small group discussion and presentations; the use of audio-visual materials, etc. Topics will be timely, and of high interest.
Students will work in pairs or small groups and complete a number of exercises, as well as guided conversations. Assignments will range from values clarification, film critiques, and current social issues to independent research and pair or small group presentations. Oral communication skills will be stressed throughout the class.

受講生への要望
 Everyone is expected to participate and speak in English. Each student will be encouraged to be creative, and to make positive contributions to the class/group discussions. Active participation and discussion is required. Written work is to be typed, double-spaced, A-4 paper. No late work, please.
評価方法
 Student evaluation will be based upon the following criteria: active participation/involvement in class; quality/completion of work; overall progress; the ability to express oneself clearly and confidently (in oral and written work). Attendance is mandatory and will be carefully monitored (per the USH guidelines).
